Round 9 gameday thread v weagles at the G

Understand but rebuilds take more than one draft.
It’s a balancing act but we need a couple of low draft picks to nail our midfield requirements for next season.
Will anyone remember the win against the wooden spooner at our ground by 2 points?
This is a *smile* take.
Simms will remember debuting with a win. Mini sure as heck will remember losing.
In a rebuild wins go beyond points. It means HEAPS to already have 3 on the board.

WC now virtually guaranteed to come last, possibly with no wins for the season, so yes.
WC will likely take that big Fwd who is touted as No1. We probably wouldn't so 2nd 3rd picks ok I would think.

Good for the kids to win. Not a great game.

Kudos to Mansell he played a good game he is currently our best small forward but i still dont think he is the answer long term.

Also to Kamdyn McIntosh good game but i would prefer we try a different option. Well done anyway.

The tall kids we have played this year all show real promise. Armstrong, Faull and Sims, they have a long way to go and we must continue to play at the very least one every week. Big bonus we played two and i can see no reason why we would not continue to do so for now.
Sims did okay as second ruck and he showed a great leap and looks likely in the air moves nicely as well.

Trainor well we have a player already. Would hope to see Gray for a few games soon instead of Miller.

Kicking was a bit off but McAuliffe just has to be played i really hope they come to their senses and see this.

Lots of comments on Banks i thought he was okay at times but both he and HRS lack physicality.
Give me Banks over Short everyday of week though.

think its time to play Smillie Smith and Algar. I really would like to see them play Campbell on a wing.

I know we just won a game but im hoping we make a few changes.

Treasure every win Tigers as it’s all part of our growth. I’m so happy with the way this year is going with a lot of kids getting a look in. I think the MC has got the balance of Codgers to Kids right.
Codgers will have bad games as well as kids, but that’s where we are atm. It’s a 2027 plan starting from this season.

With all due respect to past premiership players, with the state we were in last year, I don't think we are missing Bolton, Baker or Graham this year.
Dan Rioli, yes, but I think we will even have that covered by next year.

I didn't think we'd be 3 and 6 and I just hope North have a deflated bounce from their draw which they take in against us.
Go Tiges

Bloody hell... u simply can not please people on here. More wins than last year with a re build happening... Go Tigers.
Plenty of nit pickers on Pre even if we win . Young lads are getting tougher smarter so ahead Tigers should be a tough nut to crack . Like the look off Sims & should develop into a top player.

God Kellie Underwood's voice grains on your nerves after a while. She is a bloody annoying commentator. Jumps in so often to talk over others too.

But remember WC are odds to get a pick for losing Oscar Allen which will probably be pick 2.

So you're suggesting we should have tanked? You are clearly lacking in, amongst other things, integrity, football nous, understanding the psychological importance of team success, and the overwhelming enjoyment and bonding of a hard fought and ultimately successful victory.

So, so true. I also wish she'd stop trying to be funny. Just call the bloody game.

Really am getting over it.

Daisy Pearce is soooo much better. Another to watch for is Erin Phillips. Has apparently been doing some trial commentating work (not sure of football or basketball) and apparently is a bit of a natural.

It’s not her voice that bugs me, many of the commentators don’t have great voices. It’s the regularity of the errors. At one point today she said if the Eagles won today it would be McQualter’s first victory in the west.

She also said at one point that McGovern had missed three set shots for the Eagles. 🧐

Legend has it that her commentary is played on a loop over the p.a. system in the ninth circle of hell.
