Ruck, Midfielders, CHB, backline problems (merged)

Yes Red, he was made part of the leadership group, reinstated this year... as I'm sure you well know!

So who else is there? Of the young guys coming through they have tried Sculz at CHB, but he is a more natural forward, as is McGuane IMHO. Moore, well it's hard to judge based on his limited time this year, but very doubtful. Thursfield looked the goods, but a totally *smile*ed knee at his age could spell disaster, hopefully he comes back alright.

So it looks like Gas is the only option at this stage, I'm not suggesting that it is ideal, but that's just how it is. Not too many ready made full backs looking for a new home next year, and if we draft one this year, then we will have to wait at least 2-3.

Yep, and there was a very good reason why he was dropped from the Leadership Group iitb and that reason is also what is gonna conspire to make it a good chance that Subpar (thank God) will not be at RFC next year.

As for a replacement, I agree. Not that easy to find. Not unless you recruit a ready made one eh ?

No Red, it's me FBF not iitb, and he IS part of the leadership group this year see http://richmondfc.com.au/default.asp?pg=news&spg=display&articleid=244749

Re: backline problems [Merged]

The only way to resolve our current backline woes is to select experienced, tough, no-nonsense diehard Tigers who will have a red hot go for the remainder of 2006.

These are the men we need:-

B:      Laffy           Redford               Diggler

HB:     Claw        Rayzorwire      GeoffryPrettyBoy

Laff & Diggs are every bit as close as the Bowden boys but are much more reliable when the chips are down. Redford would be rock solid at fullback and Rayzorwire knows all about CHB. Claw is a natural halfbackflanker and GPB is a gun  ;)

Yeah, sorry FBF. I was exchanging with iitb on another thread and confused the two.

As I was saying, there was good reason why Subapar was dropped from the Leadership Group last year and also why he was dropped from the seniors this year. And not all of it had to do with form either....

Think you'll find Red it has been rare for the Pee Train to beat Gas.

He's kicked 10 (can't blame Subpar for that obviously), then 3,2,4,5 and 4 in his last 6 outings against us.
