Ryan Murphy - any takers

Not on our radar because we have Hughes Riewoldt and if Schulz stays thats 3 fowards already on the list

We need a Full Back. Were is our FB going to come from ??? ??? ???

Murphy is a mark & kick forward. Is good at WAFL level, but has been squeezed out by Tarant.

Has been tried as a Key defensive back without success.

Is an upgrade on Schulz, however, IMO Jack & Clever have the potential to pass Murphy who has limited upside and development left in his playing style.

Murphy was promising in '06 but not on last years form.
Whilst it's hard to fathom, Schulz showed more last season.
Murphy had an absolute shocker.

Still I've thrown a direct swap out there before. Both players might thrive on the change of scene.

I can't see how you can say that Murphy had a shocker when Freo chose (& probably had to justify a trade of 2# 1st round draft picks) to play Tarant. Structurally 4 talls wasnt going to work in Freo's in forward line.

Murphy showed more at WAFL level than Schulz did at VFL level (from the Burger games I saw on ABC2) where they spent that majority of their seasons.

Agree, that a changed would probably be benefitial for both careers, cos they are both on their last season of contract at the clubs.

Read the Freo boards and you'll get a pretty good idea about what they think of Murphy's senior appearances in '07.

Not sure how that's relevant exactly, which is the stronger competition?

Here's their seniors comparison.

Thanks for the AFL stats ToOheys, I mentioned their respective 2nd tier form because they both played there for the majority of their seasons and they both played finals at that level. Can a comparison be done at the WAFL/VFL level ?

The WAFL got creamed by the Vics, and the WAFL standard is lower than that of the VFL in terms of depth, but there are very strong clubs like Sth Freo, Subi & Claremont that play each other 3 times a season.

IMHO, Subi would probably beat the 07 Richmond side.

Reason ...

Richmond are that bad and Subi are the best side in the WAFL with a midfield including the WCE listed players would be too good

Don't buy it sorry Darth.

We lost a lot of games this year but we are not that bad that we would lose to a WAFL side. We'd flog them.
