This bloke has to go. His big hobby horse is that you don't need ruckmen, hence selling Spider and not giving Knobel an apparently meagre payrise. You need big bustling ruckmen in finals, especially tight ones. To punch the ball forward, tap it to running players and take pressure marks in the backline in the last Q. Think of the great finals over the years and in most cases the ruck duel has been pivotal. Mark Lee, Warren Jones (geez that hurts), Shaun Rehn, Keating.

When it mattered on Friday night Ball and Jolly did what they wanted against Blake, and were the deciding factor I reckon. Also Seaby and Cox both had great games at Subiaco. Gotts to have a good strong ruckman with heart in big finals.

Why would we care less as Richmond supporters?

In fact I hope they keep him and he keeps infuriating my St Kilda supporting friends.

He's taken them from bottom of the ladder to 2 preliminary finals in a row, and you want to sack him?

Gee, that's tough.

Mark Williams lost 2 prelims in a row, then won a premiership the year after.

I wonder if you'll be as tough on poor Terry. ;)

Spot on Tigersnape

I've said it for three years - even a drover's dog could coach StKilda to premiership with the personel they have assembled - unluckily for StKilda, they have something less than a drover's dog coaching at present :o.

Perhaps it's time for Matt Rendell to use Thomas's tools of trade - the Knife!

The list was together before he stuck the knife into Blight. Got the cattle as they say, can't instill the heart. The 'don't need a ruckman' crap has really shown him up. as well as the last quarter capitualation.

I think Thommo should stay on but the pressure will be huge. I don' think they dot a fair run this year with injuries. Last year the just got beaten by the premier in what was the best finals game of 2004. This year they just couldn't pull enough tricks to cover all there injuries. A few stars did go missing on Friday though, when the heat was on a few didn't look so fantastic.

No club that plays its home games at Telstra will ever win a flag.

What about Essendon in 2000!

Didn't Essendon move fron the G to the D? (or an I having a Seniors Moment?)

If The Fat Controller takes all the responsibility at St K with his business approach, then all the soft tissue injuries are down to him.
What has he done to improve Riewoldt's goal % which is down on his previous years?
Think he should stay, cause then they'll continue to be bridesmaids >:D

I really hope Grant stays at St. Kilda so we can send a player like Fiora there and get Simmonds in return. OR maybe he can delist another solid ruckman like Knobel and we can pick him up for free.

He's perfect for St. Kilda.

Fair enough. I grew up in Ballarat which used to be the Saint's old zone. I had mates play for them and a lot of mates barrack for them. Also have one branch of the family barrack for them, by marraige of course. I guess I do feel for them. The only sides I don't hate are St K and Footscray.

They had just moved there, their players hadn't been destroyed by the surface as all clubs who play too many games there now suffer.

The more games you play on that green concrete, the less chance you have of a fit side available in September.
