SACK WALLACE YESTERDAY!!! ;)

I don't mind Foley having a crack at the goals, we have been desperate for goal kicking midfielders for ages. How often have our players run to the 50 then kicked it to Richo in a three on one contest when they should have had a shot themselves? If he had someone clear then he should have passed it but given the way our set shots were going last night we probably would have missed them anyway :hihi

Geez some of you posters take the cake!

Can't wait to get stuck into our players, can you?

I expected better from at least a couple of you that I thought had some football knowledge.

But, no, always stick the boots in.

If any of you had been watching the game, Foley took a knock in the first quarter at a centre bounce. He was still down at least a minute later. Must have been a good whack to have that effect on him.
I'm not saying that was what was the cause of him being a little "off" for the rest of the game but, hey, all of us posting away anonymously would be capable of getting 20 possessions in an AFL game, right?

Yeah, I thought so!
Well put

We can listen to Walls comments about honoring leads, but what is a better option passing to Richo in the right foward pocket or having a ping from 50 dead in front? Yes Axe should have probally kicked at least 2 of them but thats the difference with this kid to others in his team he gets knocked down an gets right back up an has another crack ,do's not drop the head when something go's wrong ,plus I think the kids earnt the right to have a quiet one an let it go through to the keeper.

Walls is a *smile*ing clown. How much do they pay that fool to state the bloody obvious and be ill-informed???
Ever think Foley was acting under Wallet's instructions?? Or is that concept just a little difficult Robert?

Geez when I first read this I thought you said Wallis (Wallace) there TD. ;D

Have we worked our way through the entire list.

Is Foley the only one left to us.

Having not seen the game, I can't comment on his game actions, but I know when our best player by far is copping it, I know I can no longer wait for the end of year.

Axel your Human - who would have thought.

EoTT has Wallace saying he was disappointed with Channel 10 because they missed Axle getting knocked out and suffering mild concussion. Wallace stated that was the reason axle kept getting taken off.

Luckily we didn't sack him yesterday! :hihi

Foley got thumped in the centre and struggled to get up straight away. He was pretty shaky for quite a while and from that point wasn't able to get back into the game. Terry or another coach obviously saw it happen and saw the subsequent result so rested him a fair bit.

I dont think he lacked faith, more showing Foley not to get ahead of himself too. Foley was a bit selfish owards the end trying to replicate last weeks goals. isappointing from him I thought. No one likes being benched. I am sure Wallace had his reasons.

Selfish? Don't believe the hype. Something was definitely up with Axel tonight. He looked off from the beginning.

Wasnyt hye mate, made my own judgment on that. Looked like he wanted to go for those glory goals again rather than doing the team thing. Just my opinion.

Agree Shawry. Might not be a popular opinion on this thread because "How dare we say anything negative about Foley!", but you are right. He is an outstanding prospect who has had a great year but played selfish football on a few occasions last Saturday night. Fact. Really good teams do not stand for that, especially if it happened on a regular basis. Foley's is a one-off so far and as long as he learns from it then we move on and he improves, but there is no harm in pointing it out.

There was just a glimpse of it on the telly -- you could see Foley get up, wobble and sit back down just as the camera panned away (following the ball)

I checked the video again. It was in the 1st quarter, at the centre bounce after the Weagle's 3rd goal. Foley went to ground then launched himself after the ball. At this point Johnno and Kerr ran through (yes Kerr was trailing No 17) and his knee or thigh connected with Foley's head. No, it was not a reportable offence. The rest was as TT described it.

Nathan was concussed as posted on another thread.

Nathan had concussion on Saturday night and those reading things into it like he was at odds and Terry need to re-think their opinions and cut the kid a bit of slack. Axel has a great relationship with Terry. He couldn't work out why he was dragged because he was away with the fairies. It was a good effort to recover enough to take the field again after being hit early. Keep doing what you do best Nathan. The know it alls behind glass windows can only dream of having a fraction of your guts, determination and ability.

Maybe Terry was talking about you Ms T. ;D ;D ;D

Poor old Axel gets knocked out yet some people still want him to wear his undies on the outside with is red cape ;D

I was relying on Channel X's commentary - I didn't see Weeble wobble and actually fall down. :(

Thanks to all those who were more alert than I - and I have obviously learned the error of my ways re: relying on Channel X... ;)

Ms Tantie.

Well that explains why he was on & off the bench.

It also explains why he missed those two shots at goals................and Robert Walls was raving on with his *smile*. ;D

Shame on you, you should have learnt not to trust anything Robert Walls said years ago. ;D ;D ;D

Ms Tantie,

But seriously the lack of faith you showed........................

I'll NEVER show a lack of faith in Weeble - I've been singing his praises longer than most everybody here, Tiger.

Terence, however, I'm a little more wary with...
