Yes but if we cut the list players every year we are in fact only playing with a list of say 30 players.the claw said:the simple facts are the later the picks the greater the risk we all go into this with our eyes wide open we know with 4th 5th psd rookie picks theres going to be a high attrition rate.
ive said this before if we were to say delist pettifer hyde tivva. and the picks we got for delisting them was say 58 74 and 90. if none of the picks make it we have lost absolutely nothing in the long term. if just one of them goes on to give us 7 or 10 half decent yrs and he contributes to finals winning teams we are miles in front.
Every club need back up players and to cut all these players it just makes us thin on the ground.
Yes one kid may make up you have to look at the risk and for most clubs the risk is to high.
This is why in a perfect world all clubs would still have a under 19 side and we could develop these players.
Maybe just maybe in 50 years we will once again have these sides back.
