Again, for the second year in succesion, the Australia Network will not be televising the dreamtime game this weekend. :'(

Looks like another weekend of internet radio and PRE for the game details.
 
Understand the sentiment Baloo, but its not even televised in all states of Aus...
Live on the Gold Coast and can't even watch the dreamtime game, both fox and ten here are running the lions v wobbles game and it gives me the *smile*. >:(
 
Hey , tryin' livin' in Yankee-Land ................Nothing , any week, not even the "Granny" anymore.

Plus , it's YANKEE-LAND...................Do I need to to say more !!!!!!!!!!!

Now all I need is for the internet to go on the Blink and my life will be complete.

thats unlucky mate....i'm just over the border and get austar. we get the game on main event this saturday night.

Email em and complain Baloo. I did it last year as well and will do again. They claim to promote all things Australian and you couldn't get much more Australian than this. This is a tribute to the great indigenous players of the game which would be a good promotion for overseas.

Can't help but notice the ABC's bias to Rugby league. If you note the time dedicated to Rugby and AFL in their new broadcasts you can draw not other conclusion. The other week they showed highlights from about 3 NRL games and several super 14's games and only one AFL game. You would never guess that the Australia network is based in Sydney would you. >:D

It is disappointing that they are not showing the Dreamtime game.
I'll fire off an email too gus.
 
They play so much drivel on that channel, such as Home and Away after the evening news, and umpteen repeats of The Alice. Why couldn't they at least play the Dreamtime game after the rugby - at 1 am or whatever? I mean, they aren't exactly overflowing with new shows to fill up the timeslots.
 
It staggers me that Essendon v Richmond game is pitched and promoted as a celebration of our indigenous brothers contribution to AFL (which now exceeds pro-rata proportions) and it is not mandated as a television event by the AFL. Weak as!
 
Very dissapointed. And we'll get 5 years worth of tghis type of stuff - THE AFL got their money - their care factor ends there.

I may also listen to radio then watch later.

Dont worry! its gets worse here in Denmark, the most non sporting nation in the world, I just received the DVD of the Tigers and WCE, even though we lost thats my first game for the season, we are lucky if you can receive eurosport 2 which is in Europe. Today its radio again on the how not to have a web site AFL.com.au I guess their has been many of us who have written to the AFL about the poor web site, sad to think that they dont take notice of the people who use it the most.
