I hate to be a smart ass....but seeing that Grant thomas wasnt the most popular coach around....I had tended to differ in the past....
In my Crystal ball...I predicted the demise of the saints after sackin Thomas...and.......there you have it!
Sure..Thomas was a smug bloke at time...but i was impressed by his composure under pressure and his loyalty to the players.....
Rod Buttres must have a chook-pen full of egg on his face now...dont yas reckon?Your thoughts please....(especially from pharace,Phantom,tigerofold,Mk33rainsy...dirtydogtiger,Rosy,.....etc....)

Injuries havnt helped the saints. In fact if Thomas was in lyon,s shoes they would have lost by 100+ last night ;D :hihi :hihi :hihi

Agree. Also think their "window" has passed. (But then again I have a blind spot when it comes to that lot. ;D)

Too early to tell.

One thing, Thomas is bloody good on the radio. Very insightful and not afraid to tell it like it is, and to convey it very professionaly as well.

Butterss used the club to try and get revenge from his personal life and he and thomas' relationship.

If I were a saints supporter, i would want him OUT immediately!

Oh please Nitro - the nature of the departure of the Fat Controller was always going to need half of this season to disapate sub-concious issues. Throw in no Hayes, Hamill, no Max, only a little of Reiwoldt and Fisher, and host of others here and there, and they were always gonna struggle a bit - wouldn;t it have been great to be meeting the Sainter's this week!

They are still a good side that hadn't introduced many kids in the Fat Controller's time. Now they are getting some kids in and this will slow up their development a tad longer - but very necessary cos it was largely ignored previously.

In the hands of Ross Lyon? Just don't know enough of him as a coach to comment. It was the decision Butters & co had to make for the good of the club.

wayyy to early to tell. i know most of the players think that lyon is a better coach structures wise than thommo, who was more of a 'manager'.

injuroes have played a part too

way to early to be saying i told u so
