Saturday's Side would it win a Game all Year?

My question is a simple one. Would the side we fielded on Saturday, if left unchanged for the season actually win a game?

I don't believe it would.

I don't see why it couldn't but the midfield would have to lift heaps so the ball wasn't deleivered into the opposition forwardline with such frequent precision.

I believe we would win a game with yesterdays side as long as they play as a team and the older guys are prepared to put in and show some commitment instead of just giving up.

With a few obvious additions structure wise:
B:Raines,Thursfeild,Moore.
HB:J.Bowden,Shultz,Johnson
C:Deledio,Newman,Tambling
HF:Pettifer,Hughes,Meyer
F:Brown,Richo,Simmonds
R:Knobel,Tuck,Coughlan
I/C:Foley,Pattison,Jon,Polo

Given time it would ;D

Yesterdays side would struggle against any team that has potentially potent big forwards. The problem was we were so stretched guys like Bowdo had to go back to playing a defensive role on Hall and we just had no other viable options for goods and Olaughlin.

I thought it was interesting in the commentary that at half time the commentators compared the difference in possession and stated that it was the equivalent of the contribution of four quality players. I thought that was about right given the number of newbies playing. Add to that the lack of structure in the back and I think if that side was the side for the rest of the year then TW really would tear his hair out.

The obvious danger also playing players whose bodies are literally not big enough, is that they get easily injured. While the accident for Thursfield was a freak (A head butt knee injury? - I mean to say), I wonder if he had a more muscular frame and of course legs whether he might have been able to shrug off the injury to the extent of it not being a season ender. Probably not, but I do wonder.

They would win games against other low sides, but up against the reigning Premiers who were switched on it was a pretty big ask.
