Ok, shoot me down if this doesnt stand up to scrutiny - but here goes. I noted the similarity of our losses to Sydney and Adelaide. Both games seemed to unfold in remarkably similar manner- and our weaknesses exposed almost identically.
A few weeks back when Sydney played Adelaide one commentator noted that Adelaide always match up well against Sydney because they play a similar style and stop Sydney playing to their desired game plan.
Is it a coincidence then that our two worst losses have been against Sydney and Adelaide - impliying its that particular game plan that completely undoes ours?
.and as a trailing idea to this.. does that mean we can go into the game against Hawthorn with at least the view that we may fare better against a team playing a different style (a style more akin to our own, infact). Not saying we are likely to win, but are just less likely to be made to look like fools like Sydney and Adelaide did.
Thoughts?
