PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

We have no big bodied key backs. Wallace is saying we need a big bodied defender but he refuses to look in his own backyard.

TW is playing Thursfield and McGuane, who both are 190cm and 50 kilo's each, on the big forwards while Polak is doing his Bowden impersonations. Wallace is refusing to play Polak tight to avoid the risk of being exposed.

Why not play Schulz at CHB? If memory serves me correct he was doing quite well in 2005 before he broke his ankle, never to be tried there again. He's aggressive at marking contests (as a key back you only need to spoil) he's big, mobile, good below his knees, tackles well, and quite good with his ball usage.

TW has played McGuane on Barry Hall and Thursfield on Gehrig, both of which were massive mismatches. IMO Schulz was the obvious candidate for both. Yes Schulz isn't delivering as a key forward as we'd expect, but why not try him in defence?
