schulz should be playing THIS WEEK

massai i really think for jacks own good he had to go back to coburg just for touch and confidence. no criticism of the club on this one hes just 20 and he was really struggling.
the real trouble for jack is hes being asked to perform a role he is not physically ready to perform at afl level.
in an ideal world he would be floating around the forward line as a third tall hff if you like. instead we ask him to be the focal point it really is poor player management we should be at least trying to share the load in the forward line playing at least two other talls in there with him.

Claw for match commitee!!!!! :clap

There would be little difference between playing Jay at full forward or the statue of Jack Dyer, except that there is more likelihood the ball would hit Jack's boot and go through for goal than vica versa.

LOL, that's reduced me to tears. ;D

Schulz has had his go now. He only gets a game from hereon if we get injuries. Hughes/Post/Gourdis and Vickery have to be given AFL forward line opportunities before Schulz.

Like many many I'd hoped he'd come good and make it at AFL level - but he just hasn't.

Spot on

...you were the one that was talking how valuable Jay is in goal assists etc. The truth is he aint.

Not exaclty. Someone said that the reason he gets moved so often is because he can never do his job effectively wherever he is. All I was saying was this wasn't the case LAST WEEK. He was doing a good job at FF (i.e. 2 goal assists) in the 1st quarter when he got moved.

Look we can go round and round on this one. The truth is that for whatever reason Schulz found himself out of favour with the match committee and has had to work much harder and than most to get a shot at playing senior footy. He will be traded or delisted and will be picked up in the draft. He will then be played in a regular position by his new coach who has no preconceived bias. He will eke out shortened career as a KPP with some success and the nay-sayers on here will moan about the fact that he didn't do it Richmond.
:blah :blah :blah :blah :blah

Sounds like Patrick Bowden. 21 goals in four rounds so far this year. Following 100+ last year.

For Balwyn. In the EFL.

Schulz will follow a similar script.

Schulz cant be stuffed playing AFL footy so what makes you think he will stay awake playing in the burbs?

Ahh. Thoughtful commentary that adds much to the debate. Another genius to add the list here on PRE. Well done.

firstly no one is going to complain if he goes to another club and becomes a very good player. name one rfc who has gone on to burn us after we DELISTED THEM. part of the problem at the club has been how long we have hung onto players for for little return. 7th yr over 70 games and he still has not established a permanent spot in the team.just how long should we hang onto them for just how much should we be expecting from 4th 5th 6th 7thyr players people like you get on here and defend the schulzs of this world but never ever put parameters on your own expectations. in anybodys language weather hes had a raw deal or not he is a failure.as a club we have to expect and demand far more than what schulz has delivered. yet people like you cant see this or if you do you ignore it.

a question do you think hawthorn are dirty they let zac dawson go i wouldnt think so yet with the injuries they have had and his improvement at stkilda i would say he would be handy at the moment.
all clubs have processes they all have 46 on a list as a total they all cant afford to wait 7 yrs for players to establish themselves.

would say 99% of all DELISTED players from our club never have long careers at other clubs. SHEESH WE SHOULD AT LEAST GET THIS RIGHT WE HANG ONTO THEM FOR LONG ENOUGH.

Dear Mr Claw, having read a number of your posts in the past,it is clear that not only *smile*,but pretty much EVERYONE else player, coach, assistants, bootstudder need to go.Sorry,it will not happen, tanking or otherwise.
IMO,the players are not dumb, but dumbly managed(refer to a new topic to be posted soon). With both Frawley and Wallace our gameplan has gone from the bleedin obvious(kick it to Richo),to no-one understands this TW.If this has not impeded the new players' development, nothing has.
Getting back to *smile*;put yourself in his position. We want you back,no forward,no back, forward, bench, back, forward, emergency,no back in,forward............................frustrating after awhile,I am sure.

Hmm,24 players.A flag is not far away.Oh,and the bootstudder is going down the same path as the gameplan, all over the shop.

Get over it, Schulz aint no good. end of story

I think the fact that young Nahas (the gnome) was able to score as many goals in one quarter as Schulz has in his 4 games for the Tigers this year sums it up. Let's face it Nahas would make a better full-forward than Schulz.

Yea yea,and Hughes got six once, and Simmonds four, and Morton four once, and Nahas has joined the list. Will he CONSISTENTLY score goals every week.NO.Not with our gameplan. He had 8 touches today, lucky to have scored five,if he kicks a couple every week, that is good.I dare suggest his size, and the conditions helped him today. Not the gameplan, however.

But what conditions will help Schulz? His size and perfect conditions don't help him get the football.

yeah but what did he do when without the ball. then compare to schulz.
zero one two goals should not restrict your input to the team as a whole.

It is not just about *smile* that I am on about. Our forward line has been mediocre at best for a long time.Other posters have been saying that we are being overtaken by Freo, the Demons, etc. The last time I looked everyone playing AFL has two arms, and legs, some are tall, some are short, the difference IMO is w
what is being placed in their heads. In our case clearly there is,and has been a problem with the Wallace(too complicated),Frawley(too simple) gameplans.Under the current conditions you can play whoever you like in our forward line;consistency is not an option, but luck.
