Glad we kept him. He turns 23 late next year, had his development slowed by long term injuries, and has shown more than any other tall young forward on our list.
I think the 'workrate' penny dropped very late last year. Watching his last 4 or 5 games at Coburg, he really started putting in the 1%ers, and dumping a few backmen who didn't pay him enough respect on the way out of our forward line.
Time's definitely not on Jay's side anymore, but I still believe he could be a potent forward. When he crashes packs, they stay crashed.
