PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Decided to do some research on our dismal 3rd Quarters.
Up to Rd 7 V St.k our 3rd Quarters were very good.
(Although you could argue our Rd 1 3rd Quarter wasn't too good!)
From Rd 8 till now they have been terrible.

Here are the breakdowns:

Carl 3.0
Kang 3.4
Coll 5.5
Freo 4.2
Dogs 6.5
Haw 5.3
St.k 4.4

and then it gets ugly. ???

Gee 1.3
Ess 2.2
Syd 3.1
Ade 2.2
Mel 2.2

I was surprised with these stats as I just assumed all our 3rd Quarters were bad, but this is not the case.
Just the last 5 weeks.

I'm not sure why that is. I don't think it's fitness as our 4th Quarters have yielded 3 or more goals every week except Rd 3. (Increase it to 4 or more last quarter goals..We've done this on 7 out of 12 times!)

Interesting to see Uncle Wallet is looking at Neil Craig's recent tactic of "simulating a half time break during their training" where they actually go inside and then come out to start (3rd Q) second half of training after they were falling away during their 3rd Quarters. Has anyone been to training this week to see if he have done same or are we "tricking things up abit" as Plough said indoors away from prying eyes!

Please discuss.
