Hello all my Tiger friends.

Our season's are well and truely over. I have been away overseas for an exptended period of time and have not had time to drop in and share commiserations.

An interestingide your team gave you with the downturn coming along with Brown's injury. an unfortunite accident. At the begining of the season I called you finishing at 13th....close to where they ended I believe. Next year I give them a good chance of filling a position in the lower reaches of the 8 but I will reserve my final judgement on that to early next year.

Got a bit to look forward to with some of the young kids comming through and another crop to play with in this years draft. I would not be looking for them to come through to early. I am one that thinks 10 good years is of more benifit than 1 or 2 excellent years and case of burnout.

I think there will still be a high degree of turnover in the next couple of years while your try to position for a run at the flag.... 3-4 seasons I think and you will be top 4 and looking for results.

As for my Dee's...well we fell in a big hole and never really got out of it. made a small run at the finals but were never going to go on with it. Some talk about the coach and the list and the leadership. we need to do something in the next couple of seasons or it will all be a waste.

I look forward to dropping in now and again to see the news from the club and I hope that you do not have as active a year as last off season.

next year............

Another week until all teams are on level footing again.  All trading and drafting and plotting and training to better this year's results.

Richmond improved dramatically but some old habits still surfaced at times.  We've shown we're on the right track but there's a power of work to do.

I'd imagine the season was a bit of a let down for the Dees whereas there was never really any expectation (apart from mine but that's another story)  of Richmond being a real threat.

Exciting times ahead I think but there's no doubt you need to take the chances while you can.  They don't come around that often.  We were coming from a far lower base but I think the gap between Melbourne and Richmond has closed and I expect us to be in a better situation in the next couple of years.  Time will tell.

Am looking forward to 2006 with genuine excitement and can't wait to buy my membership.  For some reason that makes next footy season seem not that far away.

chf and rosy...good topic.
In a nutshell,it was a much more competitive year by the tiges, including some real nail-biters....T.W.seems to be big on positives as far as the younger group go..just need to get physically stronger, more endurance, and keep on improving their skills...against the dogggies in the first half of hte second-round game,,the tigers played some of their best footy in years....Melbourne,were on fire at one stage but then a couple of injuries and an unexplained lack of confidence crept in,dunno why,or Id be a coach.....Rigoni,Yze and Brad Green for example, but Russel Robinson was the sole shining light for em in the second half of the year...
Rosie, check out my post onUjmper colours and Brownlow medals, gining my editing skills a much needed workout, enjoy the laugh...youll know its me for real after you read it......cheers!

Hi CHF,

Been ages since you've posted here.

Where have you been to?

What have you been doing?

Have you run into Harry, dmx or Lebo Tiger on your travels? ;)

Looking forward to hearing more.
