whats the bet it will come down to the last game against Sydney at ANZ stadium and we will end up 9th

my thoughts exactly
9th again

Does anyone know where the ladder predictor that used to be on the AFL website is?

I reckon we will still do OK but I am interested to see how we could go in comparison to some of the other sides.

Still there I used it last night

thanks Reservoirtiger - just did it

hmmm......... I had us on 13 wins coming into the last round - win we play finals, lose and Sydney plays finals - the loser misses out.

Also I had the winner of the Suns - Essendon game in the second last round playing finals and the loser missing out.

13 wins may be enough to get in, but 14 to be safe.

I had us losing the dreamtime game, but beating Essendon in our home game with them later in the year. I predicted we would also beat WC and Crows, Sydney in Melb, Dockers in Melb, but losing to Port and North.

Only trouble with this is predicting the upsets (like North last weekend)

edited for spelling thanks to handyT

I don't get it, so suddenly after a good half of football in which we lost, we are going to start winning the games we are meant to win and suddenly make finals. So far this season this hasn't happened.

Not trying to offend but are people a little dillusional about this Richmond side? We just aren't good enough.

The coaches aren't good enough...as soon as Conca, Ellis and Vlastuin were allowed to run and carry they blitzed the best team in the comp...go figure

Maybe that has nothing to do with the coaches " allowing " them to run. Might have been something as simple as missing a couple of game opening senior runners like Lids n Rance that leaves the younger more inexperienced players a bit hesitant to run n create themselves. They see the senior blokes start to run n open up n they suddenly see the running patterns they've trained for all summer back as they should be and they lose that hesitation n go with the flow of the game again.
Even the most defensive structured coaches in the comp, Horse, Roos n Lyon don't have a problem with their players running n taking the game on when they have control of the pill. I doubt any coach need to give his players permission.

Maybe..but why did Benny Gale come out last week and say we are going to play a more attacking style of football? because two players were back in? If that is true an opposition coach just needs to shut down Delidio and Rance and we are done. So why did the VFL team start to run and carry and smash Geelong? I think it might be a directive from the very top to change the game plan right through the club.

Gotta win 10 from 15 ain't happening folks. Worst result is 9th/10th which we will achieve :P

Love things to pan out that way. The cheating Bombers wind up coming 9th again. Betcha no one will call them Ninthdon.

Exactly.

We've played 4 of the current top 5 and lost to all of them, but don't play any of them again,so IMO all is not lost. We're obviously not top 5 material but can still see us making the bottom part of the 8 if we can play more like what we saw in the 2nd half against the cats.
