This realfooty article discusses selling home games to interstate venues because of Commonwealth games disruptions and it made me wonder what people think about us playing a home game in Tassie.
This was discussed a couple of years ago on here and I was a bit of a lone hand in support of the idea.
I don't know the comparison financial wise but I'd prefer a home game over there at the expense of one of our extra docklands ones.
I suspect Tassie is a huge untapped market and with our proud history of Tasmanian players it would be a huge membership/marketing opportunity and would expand our supporter base.
There used to be billboards all around Tassie saying "As Tasmanian as Ricky Ponting" but I think "As Tasmanian as Richo" has a good ring to it as well.
