SEN 1116 on the AM dial.
They are currently doing reviews on the Melbourne teams.
Bruce Eva, Mark Fine ( I think) and Martin Pike.
They are going alphabetically and are up to Melbourne. Highlight so far Pike calling King and Ottens "soft". :hihi

must be due to step up
nathan brown a key, if he lpays at his potential, certainties to step up
5 ninths, but now becoming a fallacy
lot of young players that havent played reguarly (Cogs)
don't believe they'll make top 8, too many other better sides
definitely need browny
first yeah out of double figures, ladder wise
key players to come back, thursfield
talent youngsters a year ahead of the hawks
how cant the midfield, lids, raines, cogs with hardness of johnoo, not threaten in future years
will pplay finals soon.

thats all I got.

Crap review, hardly woth waiting for. Other clubs got covered in a lot more depth.

yeah, agreed. Another example of the perception of Richmond by other people...hardly worth spending any time on...gawd, when we win a premiership, it'll just be a few articles in the Sunday paper, not masses of pages and photos... ;)

Yep not much depth or detail in our review, Martin Pike stated not ready for finals for a while.

well that still the perception of the club

other supporters still see us as a bit meh

the rubbish style of footy didnt help either and the underlying group of the frawley era still lingers

we'll see what happens

Didn't hear the interview but sounds about right. I'm not surprised we are not desperately interesting to others at the moment. "meh" is probably a fair description. Remember though that "meh" is a hell of a lot better than the attention we attracted at the end of 2004, indicates improvement. Nothing desperately exciting but nothing too wrong at the moment. If we improve we will attract positive attention, if we don't we will attract negative attention.

Lets wait and see. Plenty of time for it to all go horribly wrong yet ;)

Really..sorry Emanda , i missed the Hawthorn review...and you have a typo in your post its 'Clarkson' not 'Frawley'

We get no time of day from journos because we don't deserve it yet. Journos don't jump on the back of teams based on potential as supporters do. In fact, we are in a much better position to comment on our club than journos are because we know our players inside out (eg Jon Ralph's reference to our star up and commer Kayne Pattison).

Yet when we do start to show something the journos will jump on board as if they had been on us since the start. We should be taking down the names of all these journos and shove it up them when they eventually jump on board.

:rofl

my non-richmond mates laugh when they see tivendale still playing in the mdfield, or hall holding down a key defensive post or krakouer playing 1 good game in 7

face the facts

Kevin Sheehan to be on SEN after the break to talk about the junior players and draft camp.

See draft camp articles on the Junior board for a brief summary.

To be honest, I don't think its only non-Richmond people laughing at Tiva (still on the list!) or Hall (playing a key-backman role :-[).

You're Right Hall is no Zac Dawson that's for sure and Tivva is no Vandenburgh ;)

Our new assistant coach, Jade Rawlings will be on this afternoon sometime.

They will also talk to some of the AFL recruiting managers who are currently attending the draft camp in Canberra.
Could be worth a listen.
