Agree. If we're going to insist on playing him, then that's where he should be. Maximises his chances of doing damage to the opposition and minimises his ability to damage to us. That what's good teams do with their lesser players - play to their strengths, minimise their weaknesses.

Not if we trade him elsewhere for needs.

BTW don't mind the forward line option at all.

Could he play the same role as Dahlhaus and Hooper have played in the Bullies Forward setup the last 6 weeks ?.......small, quick defensive role, who's job it is to keep the ball locked in ?
Not sure we have room for to many more smalls though, with Kingy, Foley, Nahas etc already around that area.

We cant chuck him forward because we cant afford for more missed shots at goal!

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally Kingy ..... ;)

(nb......I formally apologize to all blind squirrels in advance for that analogy)

The forward idea just might work for Shane.

When he is on song, he is actually a pretty creative player. And he has enough of a defensive side to work with.

One thing is for sure. Dimma is giving him every opportunity to prove his worth at AFL level.

Enough is enough, if we can't find a spot move him on. He his been tried back, forward and mid.

Geez, that pick looks crook. MacKenzie, Dawes, Pettard, Tippet, Goldstein all around the next 10 picks.

One of the best games I have seen him play was as a small forward even though he missed plenty of goals on the night - kicked three from memory but missed another six.

We have in the last 20 years gifted players free games, but this bloke will be the 1st player to reach 100 games and have no influence in any of them.
Gutted!

I dont get the love for Edwards. For a player that absolutely cant kick to hit a target he gets alot of love. People are kidding themselves if they think turnovers in the middle or up forward arent damaging.
