Shane Tuck Medal - 2007

After leaving Manuka Oval last month - the three young'uns that impressed me that day were

Luke McGuane - he simply beat the opponent he was place on - used his body well and was prepared to run and attack with the footy

Jade King - pace to burn - does not know what a backward step is and beat his opponents all day - disposal could do with a polish

Angus Graham - his field positioning was good to excellent and he can take a strong pack mark - he is applying himself to the ruck trade and will become a very good ruckman who will serve the Tigers admirably for years to come.

On that performance - which is all I have seen this year - I would lean towards Luke - I get the feeling Will, Polly and he will become our 3 strong backman and hold that line together for the next few seasons - just a feeling no empirical facts to prove it........RT

It would be great to see Angus Graham come on and win it. Thanks again for the report RT.

The award is for the outsider who "trained the house down" and then put in the season that matched it.
The only possibilities of the NAB15 are
1. Deledio 4925
2. Foley 4914
3. Howat 4836
4. Tambling 4510
5. Krakouer 4476
6. Pettifer 4404
7. Tivendale 4369
8. J. Bowden 4357
9. Tuck 4325
10. Brown 4274
11. Raines 4248
12. P. Bowden 4234
13. Moore 4216
14. White 4214
15. Newman 4196

The rest are already the ones you would expect to develop into players

The only other two that have leapt ahead of their rankings are Graham, who was a long term project and is now an outside possibility and Jade King who is a real tough nut goer, but a bit old at almost 23. Then again Tuck was quite mature when he came into the team and we are short of early to mid 20's
