The AFL administration is a joke and will be the reason for people will turn their backs on the sport.

The tribunal is a spineless, pathetic institution.

Any player contests, and they walk away scott free. It is a joke and shouldn't be stood for.

First the Selwood/Headland/Carr etc incident, and now this. Its handling of the gambling situation at the start of the year when they hung they young Sydney bloke out to dry when he bet what, $5?

The current AFL administration has to go, because I am becoming bored by football.

Agree. The Match revview panel is fast becoming a redundant body. They miss half the incidents, any they pick up are dismissed at the tribual.

the free kicks are as soft as ever but they dont punish dog acts like what goodes did

laughable

Can anyone explain the Goode's ruling to me please? I don't understand how a player can plead guilty to striking and not miss a game. Surely you can't build up Brownie point credits that mean you get to deck someone without suspension as a reward for good behaviour.

Goodes plays for an interstate team so any suspension is halved. Special conditions introduced by Demitriwho. ;D

You answered your own question Rosy.
Minor striking charge 120 points = 1 week
Less 25% for pleading guilty early = 90points
Also less 25% from initial 120 points for being a cleanskin means he is down to 60 points carried over to his next offence.

Its similar crap to the system that let The big hairy cat get suspended about four times last year and each time it was low impact an early plea and no carry over points because he served his time for priors and he kept getting a one week suspension.

Must say, even though I thought it was more a strike than a charge, I don't get why it is deemed that much less serious. It was certainly deliberate.

I think this points system should be scrapped, get back to jucdging each case on it's merits. The tribunal has the power to change penalties anyway don't they?
