And what about the insignificant difference between McBean and Chaplin?

I'd play McBean in Chaplins position

McBean played back in u18 an dominated (I think) as a defender

I know Chaplin ad grigg suck

In summary; McBean and Lennon good . List blocking spuds bad

McBean played ruck as an under 18.

Post 1 McBean thread:

Pretty certain that's a mistake. I remember when he was drafted there was never a mention of him playing back.

"Liam has played the last two years as a forward/ruckman with the Calder Cannons, combining his time with school football commitments at St Bernard's College,” said Richmond Recruiting Manager Francis Jackson."

Regardless, McBean hasn't played in the backline at any point in at least the 3 years he's been with us, but you'd throw him back there in the AFL to immediately replace Chaplin.

Oh well

Talented forwards - McBean kicked the most goals in the Vfl - should be able to defend

Often they find it easier

As you only have to read they play rather than create it

McBean hasn't yet developed the physique to play a defensive role like Chappy's. He has a lot of attributes but can be knocked off the ball easier than Chappy.

bachelor doesnt have the body to go with Waite or Jessie White

that does not stop us
What are your thoughts on Chaplin playing this role though?

Griggy! Mate we love you, so many references to you being a spud..., bar owner! Congratulations on a solid year. Well done tiger!

Chaplin's role should be peeling the oranges at half time.
At another club.

Chaplin most the season has been our Achilles heal. He is a disaster. Everything he touches or goes near it, turnover city breaks out
