Lets make it a little fairer.
Grigg and Hampson for Yarran.
The cartoons may lose Warnock and Casboult, they need some backup for big Kreuze just in case his foot blows up again.

So overall we traded Collins and a 2nd rounder for Yarran.

Sounds Fair

Hopefully he doesn't sign up with us. If were to head up the ladder he needs to be upgraded next year.
So far good news hehe

Probably not in our top paid structure so he'd get to walk as an unrestricted free agent n we'd get Sweet Fanny Addams for him. He's been a far better player than you give him credit for, but no surprise to see you bagging n hanging crap on players that aren't your standard of superstar.

Is he definitely not contracted for next year?
Unless they've done a sneaky renewal without announcing it. Deal ends this year so there's some negotiations going on or he's packing the kit bag, all being done very quietly so far.

Not sure he qualifies as a free agent. Has only been with us since 2011.

Depends on the size of his pay packet, pretty sure that players outside of a certain value within the pay structures becomes a free agent when his contract expires. Lots of mid range players simply getting to walk to the club of their choice.

Don't think that's right Maso. Pretty sure you have to be with a club 8 years to attain any sort of FA status. Unless the club delists you then you become a delisted FA and you can go anywhere you want; like Taylor Hunt last year.

Nah not right. It is about longevity at the club. 8 years is the minimum.

Ridley has explained it well above

Love him or hate him, I don't get this, if we are going to attempt to trade him ,his manager would be out there in the media and spruking him to other teams and if he was simply unsigned surely there'd be media talk of that.....I'm guessing his signed

Good move if true, I'm not a critic as I once was, think his improved a lot, however more then happy to move him on for the right trade, defiantly keep if can't be traded thou .....I'm just surprised there's been no talk of him, which made me think he must have had a longer contract then we thought

Mitch Grigg is up for trade by the Crows

My feel is that Richmond have got something pretty good but pretty quiet going on.

Hope your right Dawwwg ...not sure what side would be that interested and again can't believe nothing in the media

With it being so quiet on the Grigg front my guess is that we've come to a general agreement with him, but the exact specifics is down to who we bring in during the trade period. If there's minimal movement it may be a front-loaded contract to ensure we're paying 95% of the cap.

Good point. This makes sense. This will either be the answer or perhaps he is also being held to package with pick 12 for a quality inside mid

I know it's a business these days, but considering our heavy emphasis on relationships and culture I really can't see us trading away the vice captain's best mate as steak knives in a random deal.

Mentioned him earlier when others were suggesting CEY, good player with excellent kicking depth. Injury prone which is of slight concern but medical issues aside I would be making inquiries.
