Our game plan requires 100% commitment to the team from every player.

That sort of commitment requires a deep belief and understanding of each other.

The belief and understanding comes from the fact Beavis and Chimp embraced and lived the whole vulnerability aspect.

Can anyone see Salty or Clangermouse opening up and being that honest about their failings and vulnerability?

We can give them our game plan unredacted, they don't have the people to pull it off.

Yep. Couple of fig jams at the top of the tree at Moggie park. More interested in being the hero n super star than allowing the nuffers to also have their moment in the sun.

He'll definitely take some IP and some inside knowledge on players, but as others have said you can understand what we do, the challenge is to replicate it.

Can't be done.

But Grigga will be a good development coach, may he return one today to Richmond in a more senior role. I'm sure he won't internalise the saltiness of the Cattery.

100% Grigg is there for intel.
Game plans. Players weakness? Etc.
Grigg should’ve went to carlton not Geelong.

You see, this is actually the problem.

It would not surprise me if some at Geelong think that learning things like gameplans (ours is pretty obvious), player weaknesses and the like is going to get them past Richmond. If that is the case then they are totally missing the point. I'm sure there are some at Geelong who realise this, it is a well run club.

The point is the way we have managed to adjust the game plan to the players, to look for strengths in our players rather than just focus on others' weaknesses, to develop players and even be willing to send players back to the VFL to learn a new role if they are no longer the best fit in their current role. It is a way of operating rather than a particular plan. It is exploiting strengths rather than concentrating on covering weaknesses. There is a level of ruthlessness which you see in the team selections at times, players do get dropped because there are replacements ready. And, of course, it is building the culture in the whole organisation.

Any IP Grigg takes will be of little value unless they learn the bigger lessons that Richmond seem to have learned at the moment. Let's hope we never forget the way we operate now and keep trying to make it even better.

You can take the IP and our assistants but they cannot manufacture the RFC bubble and family energy and care.

That *smile* is organic and not manufactured or contrived.

Exactly Baloo.

It requires a TOTAL BUY IN BY ALL PLAYERS...

Something a lot of clubs cant do ATM, especially the Cats and Salty Salts.

"Could Shaun Grigg be Chris Scott's best off season signing?"
Grigg set to help chris Scott unravel tigers game style.
Mark Robinson

Anyone who really knows football knew this the minute news broke that grigg had gotten a job with geelong.
And again for the 300th time
They havent got a list capable of beating us.
Excatly like Carcella at Essendon.
Team is too weak to complete against us.

Great move by grigg.

As much as we love to bag them, Geelong is a well run club and well coached team. Great apprenticeship for him.

well coached? Maybe in H&A games over the last 8 years where their winning rate is in the 70% region but not finals where their win rate is 26%.

I read the article this morning
Robbo, only if Ablett kicked that goal and if Hawkins and Duncan played the result might've been different.
What a load of crock shhiit.
*How about jack missing 2 sitters
*Lynch directly in front
*Graham running into goal 35 out.
*Castagna's snap shot.
8-2 after half time
2 men down.
No Pickett
No Stack
No Rance

Shut the flk up Robinson.
Geelong got slapped

Yeh 4 from 14 in finals doesn't scream well coached more like out coached. Its how most are judged be it players or umpires. Performance under the most intense pressure.

Massive fail to the cats coaching staff.

This is what Justin Charles tweeted about Grigga at Geelong

(Re- Grigga going to the Cats)
Cats having our I.P and game plan is like those toys from Big W "battery not included".
Heart and selflessness are easy to speak of, hard to act on individually let alone across a whole club on and off the field. #TigerCulture

Justin Charles takes anyone on that criticises the club or speaks down of our success.
