did you watch the game? or is this just what you want to think.
If you watched the game he put his body on the line twice and or do you expect him to be the next johnaton Brown.
His not going to be the bash and crash player in our side, he is our new Tviendale.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

THought Grigg played very well, one of our best. Houli didn't seem to get into it as much but did have as many tackles or more as 15 other players and was still in our top 8 possession getters (which isnt saying much last night), so since both are only 22, I think they are sound acquisitions.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

I thought Grigg was one of the better players last night, especially in the third quarter when the game was there to be one. I think he will get better as the season goes on as he gets more games with the boys.

I was at the G not watching it on TV so could not see details of the whole ground but a couple of times in front of me I thought he hesitated - unlike Cotchin Jacko Martin ...
Tivendale - what to kick it over the head of Richo ....

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

I think expectations need to be realistic for Houli - we essentially got him for free. He can be a good second tier outside mid but not a top liner. Grigg was good - his inside-out run was very handy and fills a major need.

Grigg was very good. I will take a couple of shonky kicks if he is the only one spreading from the contest and winning the hard ball inside. Work rate was immense.

Definitely an upgrade, and as I have said all along, we got a brilliant deal to get this guy.

Think he had as many if not fewer shonky kicks as the Chimp. Just a general observation but it is funny how people make note of specific errors by some players but completely ignore those made by others.

Good points.Houli is someone we need to get tha ball into his hands around the wing/centre area's & utilise his kicking into the forward 50.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Grigg did do ok, but..............can he kick on his right foot????

He got caught down back trying to get onto his left side!

That *smile* me, they ALL should be able to use both sides of their body!

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Really like Houli. I think he will be a good footballer for us.
Grigg wasn't bad. He gets the ball but a little untidy with disposal. He needs to clean it up. Little things like a handball going to a teammates knees instead of the chest. Just these small things that put his teammates under pressure. These things aren't hard to clean up. If he cleans it up he too will be a handy player for us.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

houli got better as the game went on, grigg traps the ball well...some expereince playing with this group of players will help him be more damaging, winning plenty of the pill is a good start

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Grigg's disposal didn't live up to the hype, but then I didn't expect it to. I remain to be convinced, if he can be the Tuck upgrade then fair enough, a fair way to go though.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

29 disposals, 7 tackles and 6 inside 50s

Going ok so far

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Nobody knows how things will pan out but a couple of people look pretty silly for their hissy fits over the trade.

Those people throwing hissy fits ALWAYS look stupid.
