Are you serious about getting him back? :rofl

Like in war, you never leave your man behind. Andy, a true Tigers man, accepted the mission to infiltrate the scum with a view to causing some damage from the insider.

He's started well. Its only fair that we live up to our end of the deal and bring him back home.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Lets have a look at this trade end of season...

Collins = Finals

Grigg = Finals (Coburg)

That could be the reality. Hope not.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

in the 2006 national draft there is a reason grigg was taken at 19 and collins 72 and it wasn't because andy was skinny

I applaud his courage :clap

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

I thought Collins was one of the bombers best players last night, well done.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Hadn't seen him much at Carlton but Grigg is actually better than I thought he was.

His mission's not over yet. We will send out troops to extract him once he misses a shot after the siren in the prelim final.

Then we will erect a bronze statue of him at Punt Rd.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Helbig after only 4 games has shown that he is already a better player than Collins ever was.
The Grigg - Collins deal was always going to be a winner for us.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Carlton fans better get used to Collins disposal issues....didn't Ratten sign him to a 3 year contract??

Initially l thought it was an even deal but we'll be a big winner on this trade.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

We can all just thank Andy for playing out of his skin in the game against the Swans last year .
Ratten must have been at that game.

I hindsight, imagine the high fives getting around in the recruitment meeting when FJ told them Carlscum wanted a straight swap Collins for Grigg.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Always liked Collins and wish him well. Him personally not the scum club he is at.

Think he definitely has some attributes to be a league footballer and I for one wont be celebrating his bad moments.

In saying all that, this was always going to be a big win trade for us, and I could not understand the angst at the time. Really happy that the club could recognise an opportunity to improve and make the "tough" call even though they knew it would be the right one. Really have confidence in our recruiting and the football department to recognise players that will take us to where we need to go, and players that won't according to who fits in with the way we want to play. Really professional set up now.
