Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Although I believe we have won in spades in this trade, Collins is still alot better than his Carlton form has suggested.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

early days but it's looking like a win for us. but things can change quickly.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

From some of Collins' performances last year, for a young kid I got the feeling he's got an incredibly intelligent footy brain,,, and in 5 to 6 years will be a player like Robert Murphy...

Think he's really struggling at Carlton, but if he takes off where he left off at Richmond and improves over a few years, will be in Carlton's best 7 players I feel... I know big call, but I think he's got the potential..

Grigg has been good for us though from day one.. A lot more solid over 4 quarters than Collins. So definitely a win for us so far..

Doubt it he'd have to be able to put on more size and from all indications he can't.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

He is copping a bit over on TC. :hihi

Collins - you can take the boy out of Richmond but you cant take Richmond out of the boy... P*ss off back to Punt Road you dud!! 2 weeks ina row of nothing but inept efforts by this guy I'd prefer Chris Johnson or even Troy Longmuir to this guy. A more error riddled forst two games I've never seen by a Carlton player, and that includes all the duds were had play for us during the Dark Years.

Looked really bad yesterday Collo. Hopefully he can rediscover his 2010 form. But agree that at this stage and most likely overall, we will have won this trade by a long way.

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Well..... maybe our club could see he ( Collins) played well above himself on a couple of occasions last year and thought they would get something for him while he was over valued,

A bit like selling your house in the summer before it turns into a swamp in the winter.

Could it be, we are actually out thinking people at the trade desk ?

Is this really happening ?

Carlton apparently did specifically request Collins. We didn't offer him originally.

Rosy buried him in the PRE graveyard. It was a joyous day.
;D

I wonder who else was offered to the Blues.

VEry happy with Griggs as another cog in the midfield, be top 5 B & F at this point

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

I heard they wanted Morton or Collins, and we said "No way" re Mitch.

I still have a soft spot for Andy - like many, I suspect; hence the length of this thread - and would like to see him come home (preferably for nothing!). He did seem to be developing for us.

Imagine if we got him back, and he and Grigg both turned into stars... A dream, I know!

Re: Collins for Grigg (Merged)

Andy Collins is the nephew of 1979 Carlton premiership player Peter Francis.
He may have always wanted to play for the scum. :vomit
