Agree. For all the poundings we’ve copped over the last 25 years....all the miserbale efforts etc in big games......that loss to Carlton last year was the worst for me.

Terrible day that I think caused a fair bit of internal rumbling afterwards.....

Which forced me to buy a sh!thouse Dawks looking jumper in the hope that it might one day be worth something

I actually pulled it out of it's packet last week to wear to the Carrara game. I had a few comments about how crap that jumper was and how it looks too much like Hawthorn etc....that was money well spent

What do you call Anthony Rocca Claw? Don't think too many would argue that he wasn't a key forward, regardless of how good he was, and yet Bowden was dropped last year when Wallace in his wisdom decided that Medhurst was a better match up for Joel, despite Joel pantsing Rocca on many occasions. Loose man in defense? Not always. How often has Hodge played CHB?

I would take Hodge over Bowden as well, but as far as Bowden being over rated? i doubt you have ever been more wrong. He cops a lot of flack from the supporters for his laid back style and never takes a backward step despite being used as a quick fix to cover any list deficiencies the coaching staff had let arrise.

I would go as far as to say he is the most UNDER rated player at the tigers throughout his entire career.

Don't worry Brodders, I have argued with Claw before. He gets so focused on his own arguments he doesn't always understand what others are talking about.

My main point was about Bowden being over rated, it would be like saying Mc Mahon or Tambling or Schulz are over rated. Most people don't rate Bowden at all, so in that sense, having won several matches from his own contribution last year alone, he would in my view been under rated.

You could think he was an absolute rubbish player but that is completely irrelevant to the argument about how he is rated by the press and the public.

im not too fussed by clawsy. sometimes i think he is unfairly maligned, other times he deserves it. kinda like joel, or mcmahon.
thats it claw is the mcmahon of PRE. makes some good contributions but many cant see it cos the mistakes he does make clouds their view.

I cant stand Sheahan, but im a sucker for lists. Anybody interested in a midseason review?

While I watch plenty of footy there are same teams i cant stomach watching (Swans, North, Freo bore me to tears) so i couldnt do a proper ranking. I also now live in Qld where unfortunately we dont get 8 pages of footy in the paper daily.

There are some that obviously dont belong now for various reasons (Richo), more interested in bolters that might make it now. Anybody game enough to put Bling or Jacko in?

I look forward to some opinions

Definately don't think lids is in there, if you were judging players on the last 4-5 weeks bling would be there but not if your looking at the season as a whole, if he keeps going the way he is till the end of the year i think he should crack top 30

Matty Boyd doesn't even rate a mention and I'd have him top 20 at least. Travis Cloke on the list - LMAO. Sewell, Steve Johnson and Goddard are all way too low also.

Some certainly thought Hodge was overrated but couldn't have predicted he'd fall so far.

agree wholeheartedly, wouldnt have made top 100. If he keeps his form up he should definitely make the next one. I wonder if Mike would put him in. Ive been a huge detractor of RTs over theyears and on current form he may hit the top half of this list.

Jacko would be bottom half i reckon
