Anyone remember it? He won 1 out of the first 6 and was actually thinking of putting the boots back on to lead from the front. The whispers that he was a dud as coach where spreading and the knives were being sharpened. Dons then won 15 straight to fnsh on 16 wins but that only got fourth. Knocked out at Waverley in an elimination final by Fitzroy in a thriller with I think Micky Conlan delivering the killer blow in time on!
Order was resored next year with tiges dominant all year but cruelled by a dogmatic Bourke and injury (and McConville treachery) in the GF.
Dons then played in the next three GFs winning 2.
