The final quarter only went approx. 24m 40s. People at the ground were shocked that the siren had gone so early - was this discussed by the TV or radio commentators?

When it went into time on (20min mark) i think there was about 3:10 left on clock, and they were saying that it was going to be a very short quarter and it would be a suprise for most. I wonder if Johnson knew that when that last entry he kick into the 50 was going to be the last, was just a shocking kick
