I see we are getting closer in our comments...

I see that you are not blind to his errors and lackof skill.

The other thing that is keeping is as captain, is our lack of others that may do the job.

Tell me, do you think he will be captain in 2009?

And if not, do you think he will be on our list in 2009?

His inability to kick a footy
He developed a habit last year of dropping floaters short

This nasty cancer has appeared a lot less this year

I think he can actually kick a football well...what else?

Endevour, courage, leadership...etc? You cant question him there. He did his best job in taking the oppositions on ballers last year and this year he has done extremely well

Not as close as you think. You questioned his leadership, I haven't.

Regarding 09, it will be down to how his body is at seasons end. If he can still play the majority of the season in the guts without issue, not issue him remaining captain. If however he is at the point of playing reduced numbers, promoting one of the kids will be order of the day.

Johnson is playing consistant and doesnt look like an ageing player. Why does everyone think that he is only around the corner from throwing the towel in?

Johnson has been crippled with injury ever since his dual premiership winning time at Adelaide. Has looked a lot more mobile in the first six games this year. Did look a bit jaded and lethargic against St.Kilda. The week off will do him good.

We've got two decent sized inside midfielders with Johnson and Tuck, and they are routinely (and undeservedly) bagged on PRE. Take these two blokes out and we will get beaten up and monstered even more than we currently do.

Well you can't call it if you didn't see it, and I didn't see it.

But why MOORE and not RIEWOLDT? Does he turn his leadership on and off? The bloke has very little idea. He makes very few inspiring statements in the media to rally the members, and when he does speak he puts his foot in his mouth.

Who does all our media? Richo or Browny.

He is slow, not only in his actions but his thought processes. The bloke is just not up to it.
You really are clutching straws.Tell me Bright spark out of Moore and Jack who would have felt like he let the whole team down more? Jack who was 55mtrs out or Moore who was 30 out? Or would you like Kane to decide there and then on who would be really feeling it?
As for not seeing it.Ahhhhhh then he must be a crap captain in the famous Boyanich didnt see it with his own eyes or perhaps he did but was hoping everyone one else would jump on his wagon.

Ironic you mentioned foot in mouth

Ok, Ok,...I haven't seen the stats, but if someone can produce the stats for him regarding "turnovers" and these stats are not damning...then I'll keep quiet.

And not just for one game or for season 2008.

Richmond has a rich list of totally butch males. Thanks for that, Terry Wallace. (Scary *smile* but we're learning to deal with it.)

In the olden days we had a list of skillful flankers who couldn't handle pressure but TW and McMuffin put our minds to rest.

Anyways, Richmond may seem to be going backwards but ... in fact we're marching forwards at a rate of knots. Joy.

Like a skyscraper being dug out of a gerbil's arse. This Wallace fellow, boy can he handle the media, is fully wasting our time, I mean going forwards.

If you can't do, teach was once a bigoted cliche. Thank gawd Terence breathed life into it. Did we pay for his training?

Greg Miller was redundant today.

Pretty neutral on Kane myself, but its pretty obvious this season that the games he has missed or been injured in have been our worst. His leadership qualities may be underated.

Agreed, William and it's the job he does in the middle too. Just shows how valuable the type is.

We need more and better. And bigger. A horrorshow midfield.

Ugly players are massively underrated.

a captain is just as important off the field...kane is a very very well respected captain at richmond...

Has faults but he tries, makes mistakes when the game is in the balance, but at least he has the ball in hand to make a mistake.
