Re: Brown

In one article I read TW said he pulled up sore, but was expected to be ok for the match, but did caution that Brown may play several games then be rested for a week early on depending on how it progresses. Stated it would be managed carefully.

Long term gain by not playing him and we may have short term pain anyway so rest him for God's sake.

It's probably that he just doesn't want to play. He must be regretting his decision to leave the Bulldogs so he could play finals football :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

Re: Brown

our season doesn't start til round 5. the rest are practice matches. but u don't wanna rest him either because he'll need the match practice. give him a half this week. don't fly him to perth. give him 3 quarters against the lions, and unleash him 100% for round 5.

If he is not right then it is pretty obvious - dont play him especially so early in the season. Win, lose or whatever he is too good a player to risk. It really comes down to player management.

so true Tt.

as it was we played him last week and got caned. just lucky that he wasn't injured into the bargain. saw them have a dig at him every time a Doggie player got the chance.

would have been great if he'd been re-injured and we lost the 4 points as well!

nah, if he's not fit don't play him! time is on his side.

Should Brown Be Dropped

Id drop Brown for the next 2 weeks. In fact i think it was a mistake playing him last week. Not because of concerns such as match fitness but surely playing on hard surface,s like the dome and in particular Subiaco in rnd 3 would be doing more harm than good.
Your thoughts?

Re: Brown Dropped

I would play Brown this week, give him the West Coast game off & bring him back to play Brisbane. It appears they were too keen to play him in round 1.

Captn do you mean rest him completely or play him at Coburg?

As long as the medical staff think he's ok, I'd keep playing him in the seniors. He needs the match fitness.
I know he pulled up sore, but surely that was to be expected. Showed enough last week to warrant a spot on form. Big call to leave him out.
