Whats interesting is the current pole result doesnt mirror the overwhelming sentiment that you pick up reading the various posts that evoke comment about the coaching performance or more accurately the lack thereof.
Makes me feel a little better of the Richmond faithful this afternoon.

And before some wag asks - its not a post from Terry .

News Just in the 48 votes were the coaching staff and the playing list, all told they wouldn't a job unless they supported Terry. :hihi

If PRE was representative of broader Richmond member opinion then Punt Road oval would have been burnt to the ground when we traded pick 19, and the year before when we picked up Kent Kingsly, and the year before and the year before that.

from the article in todays sun re terry saying if we don't make the finals next year he will be gone.
terry is cunning in making this statement

here is my take on this

1 terry is trying to deflect the pressure that is building this season to next season saying he is gone if we don't make the finals. terry after 4 years moving us from 16 to 11 is something even danny could have done. in fact he got us to a final once in 5 years if you get us to the final next year he will have only matched danny's achivement

2 he is trying to set the reason why he should be kept next season by saying if we make the finals he will have been sucessful and deserves an extension

3 he has sucessfully deflected the attention from our abbsymal effort on sunday and his role in that and gets off scot free.

terry need not worry if he is sacked this season the two presidential cantidates in america will want his services as a spin doctor big time :cutelaugh :cutelaugh :cutelaugh

As I said he would if we were not getting rid of Wallace, March has come out emphatically today and blasted the media for being "hysterical" and assuring once again, Wallace will see out his last year. In fact he was very scathing on the media and made some excellent points about just how stable we are despite the perceptions that keep getting perpetuated of late by the media. (There is a summary of what he said on AFL site for those unaware).

The Board can not come out at the drop of a hat everytime the media and internet forums conjure up a storm of conjecture and negativity (for those who said it should have been done earlier). We do have other more "real" priorities right now.

We're in excellent hands people, with every passing day our Board just goes from strength to strength.

Well done Gary, nice to see someone lead our club on the front foot against all this rubbish.

I'm sure it is Col. There's a range of opinions from people from all walks of life, including RFC, on PRE same as there is in the broader Richmond community.
