Honestly, with knobel an unknown quantity at this point and patto clearly at least 2 years away from cutting the mustard in the ruck, if we fail to get a backup ruckman for simmo next year should the club try and persuade stafford to go another season? He looked quite good on the weekend and we could use him to exploite short backlines like carltons next year and throw him in the ruck to give simmonds a breather.
