Sick of player flogging (A rant)

Brettstigers said:
Is anyone as sick as I am of player flogging.  Its so repetitive and so boring.  I also find it at the moment completely irrational.  Last week it was spot the good player not spot the bad player.  Stupid to single anyone out in what was a truly awful team performance.  But lets see if I have got it right (from memory):

Krakouer, unfit and slow, always second to the ball (axe)
Pettifer, soft at the footy no accountability (used to be axe but he's improved)
Hyde, lacks impact, one sided, probably won't make it
Hartigan, turns the ball over too much
Tivendale, one sided, does nothing but turn the ball over (axe for pity's sake)
Gaspar, horrible disposal and only negates (axe)
Kellaway, see Gaspar + old (axe)
Richo, petulant, too many points, makes everyone kick to him (never win a premiership with him in our side - must axe)
Bowden (J), lacks accountability
Simmonds, can't mark or kick for goal - 5 year contract was rubbish (can't axe though because we axed donut first)
Stafford , too old and slow (axe immediately)
Chaffey, ditto (ditto)
Hall, too slow, not good enough (axe)
Johnson, not a leader, should never have taken him, look at what we missed
Rodan, holds on too long, poor disposal, never should have been given a two year contract
Tambling, proven to everyone that we should have taken Franklin
Roach, will never make it, can't take a key small (like the rest of the side) - but wait, is he improving?
Pattison, too slow can't kick, but deserves time
Schulz, has never played again like he did against the Bears, did a good 10 mins against Geelong
Hilton and Fiora, waste of high draft picks +++++ (yes they've gone but you wouldn't know it)
As for the rest, they are either sainted (eg Cogs, Lids, Tuck, Browny, Thurs)
Or have done nothing even for Coburg but are too young to bag (the rest)
Knobel gets a special category as he is just too boring as a plain tap ruckman to really discuss too much, and Newman is still riding high his chase down of the Irish so no bagging there either.

I think if we deleted automatically comments like the above we would reduce our total posts by over 50%. A little scary really and what is sad these comments will crop up regardless of anything the player concerned actuyally does on game day.  I know I have missed some old faves and I may have mis-remembered but I couldn't honestly be bothered re-reading all the flame postings to pick out some more.  Can we please take as read the above (yes that's our list) and try to say something new and, wait for it, relevant to the most recent game?
close to the mark brett only one criticism your a wee bit optimistic with a few of the above. ;)

Ask not what the club can do for YOU.....ask what YOU can do for the club!

A long road awaits for premiership glory....we can't afford to undergo meltdown after every bump.

Guys and Gals

Thank you for the reasonable responses. I am not quite sure how it turned into your favourite tipple thread but for the record I have just had a very large glass of a really smooth red and I am feeling good (does that make me a brightsider?). :pooh

Rosy I suppose I get both bored and irritated seeing the same comments repeated ad nauseum (as it is pointless to try and rebut) and I really read PRE for the informed comments which do genuinely come from both the light and the dark on PRE. It doesn't have to be positive/negative or even right it just has to be interesting and add to a debate. Outright and repetitive vitriol directed at this person or that just gets me aggravated since I see it as (mostly) pointless.

Rant over - let another year of seemingly hopeless devotion to the tiges continue.
