I have had it up to here with this dead man walking crap and us doing he right thing by letting Terry continue to coach while we go through due process for the coaching department etc etc etc.
What crap...in what other organisation would they let a CEO keep him position while the company was losing money by the bucketload...none, he would be terminated and new procedures put in place while a new ceo was found.
I have had 28 years of being the worst performed side in the competition and do not need to let the Wallace saga drag on through 2009 wasting more time.
Unless we r looking at Malthouse, why r we twiddling our thumbs. Lets interview and appoint our new coach so he can spend the final two thirds of this season assessing players and their ability to suit his game plan and the way forward for the club.
That way when we approach the draft the new coach wil know exactly what is needed for the benefit of our list, he will know who to cull and wjho to perservere with....as ooposed to being appointed in November, taking others advice re draft and list culling due to lack of knowledge.
Terry has had five years with the players, his game plan, or lack thereof does not work, his inter-action with the players does not work, the players do not perform under him consistantly, so why r we wasting valuable time with him still at the helm and allowing him to have a poor influence on our younger guys. The fact we have not had a real on-field leader in Terry's time there an indication of how poor he is at making players responsible for their actions and being able to stand up and lead by example.
Okay, so the "due process" to find our new coach may take some time but stuff me surely no as long as it took to appoint CC from 100m down the hallway. Can anyone at this club make a decsiion and more importantly a correct one.
It is obvious to everyone there 2-3 good options for new coach and the rest r gambles. That is not a huge list
to speak to, assess, have presentation etc. I know my old mates Westy and DD and TOO will probably have a thousand reasons why not but, hey...enough is enough...I do not need to sit by each week watching the same crap from a Wallace coached side when he has given up, the club has given up and the players have given up on him as a coach.
The less he has to do with Rance, Jack, Cotch and co the better in my book.
I do not want a caretaker coach....I want a coach...and unless it is someone currently the senior coach at another club i can see no reason why he cannot be in the role at the halfway mark of the season.
Most clubs have agreements with their assistants that they can leave for a senior coaching role.
