Then again, the weather was really bad just before our game... that might explain
the low numbers.

I have some footage on my mobile of us on the way to the game driving down Sydney road with water gushing on both sides of the car. Was nuts, we left in plenty of time and it what is normally around a 40 min drive took us about 75, one road was blocked off and we had to go another way round, couple of cars stalled, couldn't see in front of you it was insane.

Sydney road you say? I'm a Coburg resident - we caught the train and managed to
get to Spencer Street station just before the Upfield line was stopped. We had to catch
a tram home because no trains were running after about 4pm apparently. There
were people sweeping water out of their shops along Sydney road and even
in Bell Street in Coburg - which is up higher than 'Brunswick Hill'. Drains obviously
couldn't cope.

Worse thing was that we had a blackout at home, so the video recorder failed
and I didn't get the 1st quarter recorded. Lucky there was an attentive person
on the home front who sat by the equipment waiting for the power to come on
and press the record button! ;)

I had a heck of a time driving my son's mate home - all t he train crossings were
stuck in the 'down' position - found the cops controlling the one in Bell street. Well
done to them standing in the heavy rain directing people!

well i had a surprise party yesterday. the birthday boy's wife took him out for a hit of golf while i went to his house and let the guests in... only one problem... very dangerous playing golf in that weather.

I was on the tram going to the match and got delayed at the intersection of Alexandra Parade and Smith street.  You could have gone water skiing the water was so deep!  The tram managed to get through with little difficulty, and I was very impressed!  It has taken pt travel to a new level.  Not sure whether that's going to alter the huge problems with the whole system, but hey the whole 'tram-surfing' thing was pretty cool!

At the game I had the surreal experience of watching the game for the first quarter in the crowd then sitting with friends in one of the bars and 'watching' the game on the big screen.  Something that I won't probably repeat, but as it was the pretend cup and because I actually had friends I could drink with, made the sacrifice for an interesting time. (mind you, I don't really understand the lure of going to a footy ground just to watch the game on a tv?  :-\  I can understand the beer being more easily accessible - but it's that way at the pub or at home - it sure doesn't beat yelling at the umpires, and knowing they'll hear you!!!!! And hearing the ball thumping as it get's kicked and seeing the expression on the player's faces when they come up close, and having the crowd's roar buzzing in your ears - it's all so worth it!)

One thing that cracked me up is the match on the screen via channel 10 didn't have ads so at half time you just saw 10 mucking around with different footage and saw sos and huddo get their make-up, and hairspray applied! Very funny!

When watching the replay this morning I was eagerly awaiting for the ottens comments, as I had read the posts when I got home last night, but was totally flabbergasted when sos did it AGAIN in the third quarter after having 'apologised' at half time.  That proves without any doubt that a picture of silvagni is under the words 'very stupid' in the dictionary.(and probably a few others as well!!!)

Was also shouting at the tv 'JOHNSON'  :hihi So happy to know that we were all creating a unanimous tiger chorus!

at the adelaide game a few years ago (the famous spitting game) i went with a few mates, one of them an adelaide supporter spent the whole game in the cougar bar playing pool. he didn't see a ball kicked in anger. me on the other hand went home at half time. i think we were 11 goals down at that stage...

No wonder he is called SOS, needs all the help he can get.

I hope someone from the TV stations read this because it is the most annoying thing a supporter has to listen to is DUD commentators !

Get it right! It is what you are paid to do!

Correct and well expressed, it was like listening to Slug Jordan during the Army Reserve Cup from the Lake Oval.

Can't believe SOS said it!
Was at the game (with 4 kids) so didn't see any on the teev footage.
How was Terry's commenting? Read in the paper that 10 crossed to him in each quarter.

Adds nothing to a television coverage - comes across as having the personalitly of a wet fish - his insights are not insightful and he sounds as though he hasn't got a brain! Dud - worst commentator on tv by a mile!

I noticed that Daryl Timms from the Hun picked up on Huddos calling ti the Wozard cup but elected not mention the gaffe from SOS and Hudo (again!). I did email him to remind him but the email came back undeliverable (must of known it came from a mad Tiger man!)

Yeah Silvagni called Stafford, Ottens, saying he should be moved to the forward line.  At half time someone probably told him what he said because during the half time break he says "Apologies to Stafford, because I think I called reffered to him as Ottens."  Then during the match he once again starts calling Stafford Ottens.  Pretty stupid commentator to be corrected on his mistake and then to continue making it, and not even realise the mistake each time.
