PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I work nightshift so on my "lunch break" @ 3.15am i go for a walk and get the paper to read up on any news re football or otherwise and today was no exception.

What i wasnt expecting was the fact that there were two articles on the tigers, one our score card and the other on big Simmo.

I remmember speaking to my close friend when the news of Simmo's illness surfaced, i turned to him and said mate, this could have been quite life threatening.

Get the paper today guys and just read the article. It was quite serious and he could have died.

I am just shocked but please that he is making a steady recovery, no contact drills for at least three months but should be ready to put in a solid pre season. We missed the big fella.

Simmonds all the best from us all.

Hope to see you next year at your best.
