Having 'done the clot thing' a couple of years back, I feel for Simmo. I was told straight off no contact sport, basically as the drug Warfarin (related to rat poison!) is administered to thin your blood, to avoid more clotting. Thinner blood = more bleeding from even the smallest cut, and much more of a propensity towards bruising.

Hopefully he'll get over it quickly - I daresay he's much fitter than I've ever been - for as long as he's on Warfarin I doubt very much he'll be playing.

Meanwhile, what's Mark Lee up to? Reckon he'd want to make a comeback? :angel:

Warfarin was previously used as a rat poison (now more related longer-lasting anti-coagulants are used). You are right that he won't be playing while on anti-coagulant treatment, for the reasons you specify.
