I have heard no aftermatch on the radio and was wondering if Simmonds was injured in that last quarter. Soory If this has already been raised.

Good question, we got slaughtered in the ruck in the last quarter. Was screaming for Simmonds to go back into the middle. Finished the game on the bench and looked proppy. Please let him be Ok.
Another solid game from the big unit. Gets a lot of the ball on his own, big motor for a ruckman.

We missed the Snake when he went off no doubt

Stafford is struggling,I would like Knobel in to replace him. :police:

Just checked RFC website. Apparently no injuries for Richmond. Maybe it was just a precaution, tight hammy or something. I hope so. His start to the year has been exceptional.

I think he just got dragged. He kicked pretty poorly tonight. And there was a time when both he and Richo went up for the mark in the goalsquare and neither of them talked to each other, resulting in a Bombers rebound.

From memory he spent a bit of time on the bench in the last quarter. He has carried a huge workload this season, perhaps he is running out of steam. Agree that we may need to bring in Knobel for Staff. Staff's strength is his forward line presence which has been lacking since Brisbane

Yep - I was in the forward pocket and they did not say anything to each other after the stuff-up! Anyway, would prefer to have th two big blokes going fearlessly for the ball even if they get in each other's way sometimes. Well played both men.

Simmo was rucking when the bummers started their comeback mid last qtr was swapped for Staff who managed to barge his big carcase around in the ruck contests and slow down the bummers charge. Staff did a heap of heavy body work down in the bummers forward pocket when they had the ball locked down there forever and the scores were level. I can't beleive I was praying for the siren and a draw at that stage, should have had more faith in the boys :-[ :-[.

Thought Simmo did quite well again. he was the loose man who picked up a lot of uncontested marks/possessions when it counted several times last night.

I too was praying for the siren when scores were tied....... :-\heart attack material...should have trusted my instincts!

Likewise Born... I was saying "its gonna be a draw"... Great stuff for bowdo and the rest to back themselves and move the ball quick up to JON.

The Age has a photo of Simmo carrying Raines in a bear hug just after the siren sounded, so he must have been on the ground then, and not too proppy.

He's been magnficent so far this year, but he needs more help.

Great photo! Says a lot about team spirit etc.

Simmo has had a bit of a knee problem and had fluid drained off it before the Carlton game I think it was.

He needs some back up in the ruck and reckon Noble will help him there.

Simmo has had a huge workload recently, it doesn't surprise me that he needed a rest. If he can sort out the kicking, look out Dean Cox!

A fantastic first half from Simmo. :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

Really set the game up for us. I loved his work down below his knees today. With Patto also showing some very encouraging signs today things are looking up for our big man stocks.
