PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just got back from a lovely day at PR.  All the boys were looking good in their new Hummel training singlets and had a skills session for about an hour.

Firstly, the fella I was more interested in was Nathan Brown.  He was with a group of 3 other players (rehab.) doing 3/4 sprints & running on the outer.  He looked very at ease, but did not join the main group.  He finished off with some intense left/right handball drills on that bouncy thing.  Overall he looked very comfortable, but in my eyes looked about 60%.

D. Rodan was having a very lengthy discussion with Gaspar, which looked as if Rods was talking about his knee - anyway nothing to worry about because Rods finished the session strongly.  Tivendale never joined the group, maybe recovering from an injury, and Hartigan was running laps - heaps of laps.

The boys were broken off in 4 groups where a captain was nominated for each group.  The last player to be picked from the whole group was Gaspar.  They sh!t stirred him because he was the last one - I think it was all set up!

The four groups broke away into kicking for goals from about 40 metres, the next group kick to kick from about 40 meters but they had to ensure that the ball was kicked through a hoop that was erected in the middle of that distance, another group had to handball left/right through hoops from about 5 metres away, and the last group had to kick to a wooden cut-out figure that was erected into the ground.  The figures portrayed as if it was another player and they had to hit it on the chest (I think) because not many hit the target, I think that's why they called it a Skills Session.

Anyway I'll leave you by saying N.G.Brown looked very happy, tanned, & ripped, but he hasn't climbed the mountain yet.
