A few people made comment toward the end of last season that he looked in very good nick and looked like he had been spending a bit of time on the weights.

A discusion about cogs is worth losing my post virginity for ;)
Just having him on the park is worth 5 games.
Can't back this up though with anything but yellow and black blood!

Re: Coughlan

If we can get a good quarter a week next season that will be a major step in the right direction. Anything more will be a bonus.

I think we tend to forget how good a fit and firing Cogs really is - one of the few in our side who can match it physically with just about anyone in the competition.

I only hope his best isn't behind him.

Re: Coughlan

Love the guy, love his hard at it attitude,

Not trying to be negative but,

Did it become more apparent that he can struggle with his disposal at times under Terry's game plan,

As opposed to Frawleys, which was probably more simple, and perhaps easier for a guy to play , who can struggle at times with his kicking.

Re: Coughlan

cogs is our spiritual leader. just having him on the ground will give everyone a lift. worth a thousand or so memberships as well.

Re: Coughlan

We all know how good cogs is at his best ( 3rd in b&f in 12 games then won it the next year) but unfortunately the poor fella then had his pubic instability injury which stopped him form not only running but moving also. he then came back and played 8 games b4 his 1st reco and then did it again. so theoretically he has missed 3 and a half years out of the last 4 and not been able to run for any of those. kinda makes it real hard for him to get anywhere near it i think. we can only hope i suppose.

good luck cogs

Re: Coughlan

his game against freo before he did his 1st knee was quality, just under 40 touches

he might have got over the op but the knees will be a different story now

Re: Coughlan

I have always had it in my mind that if we had kept Knighta in the middle with him until the end of that season (? cannot recall the year atm) that would have taken the pressure off Coggs to develop, but obviously Spud knew better.... :P ::)

I hope to get over this soon....

Re: Coughlan

I don't think he will be able to run games out , if any thing he will be a impact player off the bench.

Still, that's better than what Notwortha's impact off the bench would be.....

Re: Coughlan

Lets hope Cogs can rekindle some of the old magic. Gonna be hard being out but by the same time 3 yrs out of footy should make him hungry and determined to succeed. No unreal expectations Cogs but would love it :clap
