Living so far away (Broken Hill) make's me green with envy at how lucky all you Melboune PREnders are. I've been a mad tiger supporter for 35  years & was lucky enough to watch past greats like,Hart,Bourke, & Bartlett & co strutt their stuff for the mighty tige's.I know the last 25 year's have been extremely frustrating,But i feel we are on the verge of some exciting times ahead with the current crop we have.To be able to watch training sessions & go to the games as you good Melbourne folk can would be a massive buzz for me. We try & get down once a year for a footy weekend & it's huge(hangover for a week).I'm enjoying being a PRE member & love the forum's.Keep up the great work & GO YOU MIGHTY TIGE'S

We still got a very long way to go Davo in regard to our list mananagement with another 2 good drafts paramount not to mention a more substancial list cull at years end..

That said well done for getting on board and kudos to you for your passion and support of your tigers.

Must get up your way again so can drop by the Menindee Lakes and have a cold one tis always good.

Keep up the good work Davo ;)

Yes DaveyBoy the tyranny of distance ain't much fun when the tiges are being considered. I live in Darwin. I can barelyi magine how unbearable I'll be if we develop into a top team over the next couple of years. It'll be enough to have me contemplating relocation again i reckon!

Broken Hill? You're just around the block mate. Try living in Thailand. :)

Thank god for Broadband internet & satellite TV though. Doesn't make you feel as far away as you once would have living abroad. in saying that I'm secretly trying to convince the wife to move back to Melbourne upon our relocation in a couple of years.

Don't think I could live abroad if I couldn't get my Tiger fix. :emblem

i live in south east queensland. Rugby country. ::)

I'm studying in Paris from June till November. I can't decide if I want us to make the finals or not! :spin

thats why i'd never move from from melbourne. as i own a british passport, i've thought about doing the aussie tradition and live in london for a year. but i'd never forgive myself if the tigers made the finals and i wasn't there to see it.

My dad barracks for the cats, and was in New Caledonia during the finals series in '89. There was an airline strike during this time, so when dad found out the cats had made the grand final, he paid his way onto an army cargo plane to get back to Melbourne in time.

Long story short, Ablett kicks 9 goals, Cats lose by one goal, dad's never been the same (as a geelong supporter that is).

Which is a problem I had Ian4Shazza4Eva.
Left to play up abroad after '93 and we were atrociuos.
Between 94-97 we were improving, good or competitive.
Came home after '97 season and we were atrocious again!!
Besides the 2001 season i've only ever seen dross!!

Wouldn't trade the travelling though ;)...there's always flights home in case of shock Grand finals.

6 months brings a wry smile to my dial - Ian4, my son went to live in England and travel Europe for 6 months - come next August it will be 2 years and he is living happily in Edinburgh Scotland. Working the winter and travelling the summer - this year he is doing the North Africa tourist route - young, handsome (he gets that from his dad), active, enthusiastic, inquisitive and plenty of European women who love his accent - why would you come home to Australia?

Travel - it broadens the mind and will make you realise we really have nothing to whinge about here in the land downunder (except for Collingwood, Carlton and Essendon supporters that is!)

Tigerdave, we all can't have the best of both worlds. You have something that I envy from you, and that is you have seen Hart play and you live in the one of the most beautiful parts of the country. I envy you brother, regardless whether I live in Melbourne and watch the Tigers every week. At least you don't live in the hussle & bussle of the rat race, and you have the fresh air, the wonderful dust storms, the spectacular lightning and thunderstorms where you have a 360 degree view, it could get a little hot at times, but I love that country out there.

I've done a bit of 4X4 and sightseeing in the area not long ago, Broken Hill, Silverton, Pooncarrie, Menindee, Mungo National Park, they were all post card stuff.

Anyway TD we all try to give as much information as we can on PRE for all the people who cannot be here down at Melbourne, just to make you feel at home.

And we're enjoying having you here dave. :)

I'm so proud that a site that started out of a Dummies Manual has grown so big and spread so wide. The best thing about PRE is the various ways so many contribute and share information. Selected teams, training reports, game reports, news etc is often posted here before it's released anywhere else.

I'd like to say a special thanks to the Girl power who help run the site too. (The ModSquad aren't all female but that's another story and I could never than my off-sider enough for all he does.) Jools helps with the moderating, Tiggy does the tipping and player votes and always offers a hand when needed and Anduril has kindly offered to keep score for the PREnder of the year.

The more people contribute and help out the better the site is and I reckon we're all pretty lucky the girls are so obliging. :clap :clap :clap
