I wouldn't be looking out a ruck or a key defender this year other than in the rookie draft.
hmm lets see. assuming we have picks 3 17 19 35 51 67 83 pick 2 or 3 psd 3 rookie picks.
assuming the type fits the pick ie say a kpf at 17 is close to best available and deserving of a pick at 17.
on list proper 0ff list proper
3 best available probably onballer. johnson
17 kpf polak
18 kpd bowden
35 mid jon
51 kpf hughes
67 onballer pettifer
83 kpf pattison
psd ruckman 24 25 yo simmonds
nahas rookie promoted king
browne rookie promoted putt to rookie list. wont need to do this if we get a 24 yo ruckman
rookies
1 kpf 195+
2 kpd 195+ silvestor
3 small defender.
4 putt ruckman
5 gourdis kpf
6 gilligan sml forward.
leaves a tall structure that goes like this
5 ruckmen graham, vickery, browne, 24 25yo, putt rookie. 1 new. off simmonds.
9 kpfs richo, post, riewoldt, schulz, rookie gourdis. 4 new. picks 17 51 83, 1 rookie. off 3 pattison polak hughes.
5 kpds mcguane, thursfield, rance, pick 18. 1 rookie. 2 new picks 18 and rookie. off silvestor.
19 talls over all a few more than ideal but takes into account richos age, schulz being contracted, and the odd kpf not making it.
added to this you get 3 new mids/onballers one who should be top shelf and 1 sml defender.
of course you can change it and vary the type of player taken with each pick im just giving an example of what can be done without neglecting any area of the list.
yep personally id be looking at all types.
