Usually I enjoy going to the social club to have a few beers and meet up with friends. It's good to have a (near)Richmond exclusive venue that we know benefits the club by our patronage. However, I have one annoyance and that is the DJ that is there pre-game usually with the music blasting out so loud that having a normal conversation is near impossible. I would prefer if the club had a screen showing past footage from GF's, good wins (1995 Semi v Ess), etc. that would be more entertaining than having my eardrums blasted. I have thought about approaching the club and suggesting this, I would even be happy to assist in the set up (as I do a bit of work in TV / AV). Does anyone else think this a better idea than the DJ?

Pre-game the social club (at Punt Rd oval) has drinks, sausages, face painting, and an oval to have a kick on. It's open upstairs and downstairs from 2-3 hours before Richmond games and then again after the games.

Yes it does, hence my suggestion of winning games footage rather than loud DJ music pre-game

I'm with you....play some old Tiger games, and if they HAVE to have music, play some music to get the crowd fired-up.....not old soft-rock.

At what time before the game? i've never noticed the DJ pre-game? Maybe too much :beer

A GF ticket should we make it, upstairs to the social club after the game and a function during the year.
