Solomon

I cannot believe this guys tough guy reputation... he is SOFT as butter... contests shirked should be a statistic beacuse he would lead the league every year without fail (barring injury)

I think he is a party freak that enjoys the night life more than football.

You can see he was naturally a tough as nails player, yet, has dropped in form and hunger. He makes mistakes and is one of the more hated players at Windy Hill.

We did end up convincing him for about 6 hours while he was on vacation in England. Then Hird rang him up and pleaded that he stayed, which he end up doing and took a pay cut, far more less than what we where offering.

Serves him right. With the bombers on the slide, rather than with the tiges on the up!

The deal Miller was offering for Solomon was so far over the odds for a decent HBF...the Lappin one was even more ridiculous. Both hold positions where you build your own players, not go for big money trades getting already mature players.

Arguably the same could be said for Brown, but at least he can cut it in midfield when fit and is a genuine superstar matchwinner...plus was no doubt a drawcard for getting Wallace.

The first two deals which fell through highlight the spectacular juggling act Miller apparently thought he could pull off - build a very competitive finals side right now but still rebuild a shocking list desperately lacking depth at the same time...all with no budget to work with. Luckily for us he didn't get those players...throw Fevola, Copeland and a few others in the mix too.
as i have continually said miller is a quick fix man. his attempted recruiting and recruiting has shown he has no overall strategy for good long term list management.fevola solomon lappin and copeland would of been obvious disasters long term. most ferals cant see it but blumfield brown and johnson have set us back big time long term.
imo miller has never admitted to himself how poor the list is and has always chased the quick fix to cement his position at the club.
its one thing to chase recyclede players, but to chase them with early draft picks when its patently obvious that we needed to go into full on rebuilding mode is criminal.also the failure of many late picks do i need to list the names. the poor psd selections, the failure to get the rookie list up to scratch. and finally the use of early picks on maybe talented but speculative players. imo millers efforts as far as recruiting goes have been well below par.
i bet my bottom dollar if a cousins were to become available at 28 29yo miller would go after him without asking the question where will it get us long term.

Here Hear Claw.
Its about time that people wake up to Miller.
His only claim to fame is Carey & Longmire and he's still living off that
4 years he's been at the club now, its time he is Capuanoed!!!
