Some footballers do have grey matter up top.

Don't forget Mike fits Patrick from Carlscum. He's a Rhodes scholar, currently on the Commission and I think was also involved with some private bank or something similar.

A high ENTER is not always the best judge of intelligence. I'm in the higher education sector and have seen the discrepancy up close.

Having said that, I'm sure Judd and our man Jackson are both very bright.

The ability to survive a Higher Ed degree is not the best judge of intelligence either.

I see a lot of gradutes who lack intelligence.

Give me a street smart hard working dropout anyday.

Of course Langford, ex-Hawthorn premiership great, is a prominent engineer who now travels the world.

I suppose the lesson is that if you are smart academically & talented football wise, keep at the study.

If you're sufficiently talented, AFL footy can give you the opportunities to combine with academic & professional study to ensure a great post-footy career.

Why is everyone judging 'intelligence' on ENTER scores and Uni degrees and/or success in business. I think it's a bit more complex than that.

Agree 6ers, intelligence doesn't always equate to commonsense or automatic lifeskills

I'm not denying that intelligent people get high ENTER scores, for example, because clearly they do. But people who work their guts out get high scores too. The ENTER score is calculated on how a person performs on a number of assessment tasks and an exam. Some people have a natural flair in these learning and assessment styles. Others don't. Often it's a cultural thing.

A high ENTER means you did well on these tasks, but it doesn't necessarily equate to 'intelligence.'

All pussycats.

Legend has it that Shane Crawford and his two best mates at school didn't achieve a VCE ranking of 10 when their scores were added together.
Easy ToT One of Crawfs best mates is one of mine ::)

I shouldn't have stepped in Hotpoker. You may be right.
I'll leave this to Tot to sort out, (hasty retreat) ;D

Actually, guys, I made it up for the cheap laugh, but hey, if you think you know who I'm talking about, that's even better.
