PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I'm not sure where this goes, but I'll leave this up to Rosy & Disco.

I was flicking through the paper this morning and found an article about an ex-footballer.

Some of you may remember Alan Cransberg of the Bombers during the late 80s, maybe early 90s.
Cransberg was a junior tall skinny flanker who could be compared to a Grant Birchall of today.
Cransberg looked every bit as if he had everything that was needed to develop into a top key backman.
But he didn't.

Looks like his focus was in a different direction.
Now he is Alcoa's Australian Managing Director.
He sits at Board room tables with the likes of Chinalco President Xiao Yaquing, and he will have a major influence in BHP Billiton's attempts on Rio Tinto.

Not bad for a fringe junior footballer that didn't quite make it.
