Hello guys, I am currently working on a AFL coaching game and I am working on player ratings at the moment, I am pretty much have a fair idea about most players but I am struggling with the following:

Travis Casserly
Matthew White
Shane Edwards
David Gourdis
Luke McGuane

I was wondering if someone here could give me a brief overview of these players, ie outstanding quality (fast, ball magnet, endurance) and position types. If anyone does help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Also if you are interested www.premiership-coach.com is the website for the game.

Whatever happened to the players having mentors?

The players mentioned above are relatively new to the club and nothng has been mentioned about them or other players having mentors since the idea was intorduced a few seasons ago.

Was this a gimmick or passing phase?

I was reading on another thread about Us vs Carlton, and the lack of emotion the modern players have for this rivalry. Surely a dinner or get together just for the players and their mentors might ignite a bit of passion.

During the evening show some of the clashes, biffs and bumps that involved many of those that would be mentors.

Make 'em want to do it for their mentor, do it for their tribe!!

Carn Richmond!!. Let's kill Carlton !!!!!!!!!!

Casserly - hbf - long, accurate kick
White - bp - good tackler
Edwards - hff
Gourdis - chf/ff - fast
McGuane - fb/bp - high marks

Casserley: Long raking right foot kick, neat skills, some run, slight frame, HBF, WING
White: Small defender, decent pace, average skills, good tackler
Edwards: Confident, Skilful and pacy, good footy smarts, Slight Wingman at the moment, Midfielder when he matures
Gourdis: Raw, Athletic, Pacy, good one grab mark, poors foot skills at the moment, CHF, CHB
Mcguane: Athletic, Great leap, average foot skills, skinny frame, third tall in the backline

Out of those five I'd say Edwards and Mcguane would rate the highest with scope for Gourdis and Casserley to be improvers this year. White I don'e rate too highly.

There positions are as was posted above by Disco.

Edwards: 2nd year player with good skills. needs to bulk up a bit.

McGuane: 3-4 year player Reliable Key position backman but not in the top bracket yet but may get there.

Casserley: 3rd year player but yet to play senior footy, may cement a spot this year

Gourdis: Picked up in last years (2007) national draft. Hope for key position at some stage but kicking is questionable at the moment.

White: 3-4 year player yet to cement and a spot and I doubt he will do so unless he takes a quantum leap this year.

I may be out on the years at the club but that's my quick take on those five players. hope it helps
