With all the doom and gloom surrounding our club,I would like to point out that the pies have only won one flag in 50 years. What joy. ;)

Yep  if we're crap I  always get pleasure when Collingwood are crappper.

I know I say I am a Richmond supporter.

But in truth I barrack for 3 teams -

First and foremost - Richmond

Next - whoever is playing Collingwood

Next - whoever is playing Carlton

(And if Collingwood is playing Carlton I barrack for the umpires, a bloodbath and plenty of reports).....................

lol. collingwood vs carlton games. I always hope it ends in a draw. No one wins ;D

Leigh Mathews coached an average team to that GF. Really made his mark as a coach.
Collingwood president (name escapes me) famously said "Mathews has a job for life" at the club. They sacked him 3 years later.

Inhindsight he should have kept to his word. Mathews turned out to be a okay coach.

To which the current Collingwood President would suggest he (Matthews) had help financially and geographically to get the Premierships he did.

(But how far did Collingwood have to travel when they won their 4 premierships in a row? Not anywhere near the amount Brisbane did and Collingwood bought theirs too didn't they?)

Anyway, and also, lol Remote!

P.S. I hate the scum and when Malthouse said (I think I heard right) that he barracked for the Scum as a kid, well... :vomit (he is a good coach though >:( )

Matthews was sacked for reasons other than coaching.

Alan McAllister?

if i was a collingwood supporter my response would be that at least they have seen their team win a flag in their lifetime. i have grown up with richmond on the bottom of the ladder, and we still are. 2 finals appearances in 26 years. where's the joy in that?

i dont take joy in other supporters suffering because us richmond supporters have been suffering for so long.

But by comparison 1967premiers,1969 premiers,72 runners-up(highest losing score in a grand final,73/74 premiers,1980 premiers(highest winning margin),1982 runners-up(what did we expect when a naked female runs on the ground when we had a run on?All the carlton guys were gay,we had hard-ons,just got in the way)

My response to that is that is which would you prefer:

1) a whole lotta dates, but only getting past the girls front door on one occassion in 50 years

2) fewer dates, but rocking the Kazbar on 5 occassions during the same period

and most collingwood fans have only seen a flag in their lifetime.

plenty of richmond fans have seen 5 flags in their lifetime.

they should win another flag b4 we do

They've won one in fifty years, danwit. Been pre season favourite or second favourite a dozen times at least.

Losers.
